That was nice to hear. I have personally been a member of Upromise since 2002 and my experience with it has been nothing but positive.
Upromise.com is a website designed to help parents save money for college that gives you cash simply by linking your credit and/or loyalty cards to the program’s system. Upromise then gives you cash back when you purchase certain products/services (grocery items, restaurants, book travel, etc) …these are generally things the average person buys anyway, so you don’t have to change your normal spending habits to earn cash back.
Optionally, you can increase the amount of cash back you earn buy shopping via their online portal or signing up for a Upromise Master Card. This cash is accumulated in your Upromise account and you have the option to either periodically have a check mailed to you or to have it invested in a section 529 college savings plan. It’s basically “free money”, and who doesn’t like that?!?
